Job Description

This position is freelance scoped for about 8 hours a week for $3,000/month. The work is ebb and flow, so pay may vary depending on hours worked per month. Develop wireframes and prototypes around customer needs Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability) Understand web specifications and user psychology Understand personas through user research and data Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success Work with the Creative Team to deliver designs that are in-line with Alma’s overall look and feel and brand Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers When needed, partner on concept and usability testing and gather feedback Keep abreast of competitor sites and industry trends Proven experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer or similar role Strong portfolio of design projects Background in project management and research Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture Proficient in design software (e.g. UXPin, Balsamiq) Knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript is a plus Problem-solving aptitude Analytical mind with a business acumen Excellent communication skills
