Job Description

The Department of Art is seeking two Assistant Professors in Design for full time, tenure track positions focused on digital design and emergent design practices starting July 2023. Hires will teach undergraduate courses on a ten-month contract position with a 3/2 teaching load per year. Areas of specialization may include UI/UX, motion graphics, interactive design, social design, data visualization, sustainable design, design entrepreneurship, brand identity, and graphic design. Hires will assist in devising and instituting a progressive design curriculum that works within and supports a wider Art program. Candidates must have a terminal degree in their field and a history of research supported by a research portfolio, and university-level teaching experience preferred.
