Freelance Graphic Designer AFL-CIO 📍 United States (Remote) 🕣 Freelance 💵 Paid (rate negotiable; project-based or hourly) The AFL-CIO, the largest federation of labor unions in the United States, is seeking a freelance graphic designer to create printed lobby display graphics and social media assets for Women’s History Month, with the potential for ongoing work throughout the year in support of upcoming events and rapid-response moments. This project is ideal for designers who are comfortable working quickly, collaborating with a small internal team, and translating complex political or labor-related topics into clear, compelling visuals. What you’ll do: - Collaborate with members of the communications team to understand project goals and deliver designs that meet strategic objectives. - Design lobby display graphics for the AFL-CIO. - Create social media graphics for Women’s History Month. - Work within existing brand guidelines while bringing fresh visual ideas. What we’re looking for: - Strong graphic design skills with a polished, professional portfolio. - Experience creating assets for social media, print and large-format displays. - Ability to turn around high-quality work on tight timelines. - Good knowledge of the current design landscape and trends. - Familiarity with advocacy, labor, politics and/or a passion for helping to build worker power is a plus.
