The Associate Creative Director, Performance Marketing, will drive engaging content, while working cross-functionally to provide a positive end-to-end customer experience. You will lead, develop, and retain a growing team that produces work efficiently and with brand consistency. Exceptional coaching and mentoring skills are a must, as well as being an excellent partner and collaborator. This role requires deep functional expertise, an organized multitasker, and an eye to always improve. This is a management position with three direct reports surrounded by a team of five peers. Reports to the Creative Director, Paid Channels. Responsibilities Ensure that creative work is distinctive, consistent, and adheres to brand standards. Lead innovative thinking, championing better ways to deliver on internal client requests. Partner effectively with the Performance Marketing teams to create impactful content and purposeful experiences. Build rigor and discipline around social media stories and sentiments that drive channel benchmarks, business impact and growth. Stay current with creative trends and culture-relevant moments that can weave into our brand storytelling. Collaborate with the Creative Director to define creative vision, bringing groundbreaking creative ideas and solutions to the table. Work with an external agency to champion Shutterfly brand standards and tone of voice in execution. Active participation in project kickoffs, asking insightful questions to gain detail, clarification, and alignment with Marketing Partners. Confidently present ideas and concepts to Creative Director and internal clients with a spirit of collaboration. Support A/B testing and multivariate testing. Provide effective direction to bring creative vision to life. Inspire collaborative brainstorming. Provide clear and effective creative leadership and mentorship to your team. Ensure individual success and professional development. Juggle a mix of quick-turnaround projects, often with overlapping priorities and urgency. Continually adopt new tools and practices as the work evolves. Manage work tasks, functions and time sheet using department’s project management tool, Workfront experience a plus. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Fine Arts, or Graphic Arts highly preferred, but will accept additional experience in lieu of formal education. 8+ years’ experience with a minimum of 3 years’ managing creative teams, both art and copy. Portfolio to showcase your skills. Hands-on experience designing across marketing channels with a focus in paid social, including motion graphics and video production. Retail/eCommerce experience a must. Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, etc. Great eye and aesthetic that compliments and elevates Shutterfly brand. A solid understanding of advertising technology and digital marketing solutions. Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Be self-motivated and a thoughtful, yet quick problem solver. Patience and infectious, positive attitude with a collaborative approach. Low ego, balanced with confidence and a healthy sense of personal drive, ambition and ownership.
