Job Description

The Pitch Director / Senior Editorial Designer will be responsible for overseeing the pitch process from start to finish. The Pitch Director will work closely with the Head of 2D in order to follow through with the direction from relevant Creative Directors. This individual will also manage other designers and juniors, to help ensure a quality, up-to-standard product that best conveys the intent of the project. In certain cases, the Pitch Director may also be required to design and implement alongside their fellow designers – in which case the requirements of the position also include having the ability to fully realize evocative narrative documents such as sequential pitches / treatments / and decks that align with the tone and expectations of the job. This means that they have a strong knowledge of editorial design, branding, tone, image selection / image research, composition, layout and are able to work with large bodies of text and putting together graphic, bold editorial style layouts. The types of projects the Pitch Director will be working on are situated within a broad arena of industry sectors and types, including: Experiential/ Activation, Live Music, Automotive, E-Sports, Fashion, Tech, CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods), and content-based pitches. This position is not for designing directors’ treatments per se, although background and experience in this field is helpful and welcomed. These editorial documents are considered by PHNTM as not only “pitches” — but unique and bold visual narrative stories that utilize the best imagery and tell a succinct yet compelling story to the clients. The pitch director’s roles will include working with Lead Strategist along with Head of Sales, Head of 3D, and Head of Creative and Design to translate concepts into narrative digital publications with the help of image researchers and designers. The pitch director will be included in these initial brainstorm sessions, to thus fully understand the breadth of the project to then roll out to the design team. Please apply directly on our link!
