Location: Los Angeles or New York (hybrid, 2 office days, 3 remote days per week) Term: ASAP - July 31 (potential opportunity to extend after end date) Please send your resume and portfolio to apope@oaktreecapital.com for consideration. The corporate communications and branding (CCB) department is responsible for (i) promoting and maintaining Oaktree’s outstanding reputation; (ii) creating and managing content that effectively promotes our business, executives, investment strategies, capabilities and brand; (iii) managing all digital assets and social media accounts (iv) managing media relations and all speaking engagements and Oaktree-hosted events; and (v) creating marketing programming that raise awareness about Oaktree and its broad investment capabilities. Responsibilities include: • Assisting in the development and maintenance of marketing and firm-wide presentations and brochures, primarily designed in PowerPoint • Collaborating with the Events team to produce customized materials for in-person and virtual events • Collaborating and advising on brand and design decisions across various stakeholders • Participating in quality assurance checks for prepared materials • Providing PowerPoint, Word and Excel presentation support across departments and various stakeholders • Learning or applying proficiency in UpSlide (PowerPoint application) to design firm, investment team and corporate structure charts, tables and graphs in PowerPoint • Designing for optimal quality across various devices • Converting text and data into compelling designs that support business efforts across multiple channels • Organizing graphics queue to support project intake • Providing digital marketing/Pardot email support across various marketing distributions Experience Required: • Minimum 5 years of experience as a graphic designer or similar role • Minimum 2 years of experience with a financial, pharmaceutical, or professional services firm (legal, insurance, advertising, accounting, consulting or similar) • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products with advanced skills designing, formatting, and charting in Excel and PowerPoint • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) • Strong knowledge of design concepts, practices and procedures • Ability to design on a PC • HTML design experience a plus • Upslide experience a plus Personal Attributes: • Excellent critical thinking skills • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills • Strong attention to detail • Ability to quickly adapt with changing/competing priorities • Collaborative and team-oriented with a keen sense of integrity and professionalism • Ability to excel in a demanding, fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest quality standards Education: • Bachelor’s degree required. • Online portfolio required.
