Sassa Foods is launching a bold frozen food brand centered on Puff Puff — a West African donut reimagined for a modern, Gen Z audience. Our product allows people to enjoy Puff Puff at home through a frozen, microwave-ready format — but the brand cannot feel functional or utilitarian. We are looking for a Brand Strategist who excels at building immersive brand worlds.It is about constructing a coherent, aspirational universe that the product lives inside. Puff Puff already has organic cultural demand. What we need is a contemporary African brand world that feels: Global, not niche Elevated, not traditional Cultural without being literal Timeless, not trend-chasing Think world-building, not storytelling for storytelling’s sake. What You’ll Own: Define the brand world (cultural lens, emotional territory, visual gravity) Establish brand positioning and narrative architecture Articulate tone, mood, and aesthetic direction Clarify what the brand is and explicitly is not Translate cultural insight into a scalable brand framework Align brand strategy to a March preorder launch What We’re Looking For Demonstrated experience building brand worlds, not just brand guidelines Strong cultural fluency (African, diaspora, or global cultural work a plus) Ability to balance culture, restraint, and commercial viability Strategic thinker who understands how brands scale visually and emotionally Portfolio or case studies that show conceptual depth, not just aesthetics Timeline Start: Immediately Estimated Completion Goal: End of January
