Position Summary The STARs Innovation team accelerates innovation that unlocks STARs wage mobility through learn-by-doing projects that build collective workforce knowledge and action. The Director of STARs Innovation Studio is a leader with a proven ability to lay out a vision for a nascent workstream within an organization and able to lead both projects and partner relationships effectively in a fast-paced environment. This person will partner with design firms to define, implement and expand on collective action design projects that catalyze regional workforce actors for STAR income mobility. This person will identify opportunities for innovation in STARs wage mobility (e.g. barriers that need removal, new pathways that need to be created, etc) given trends from workforce development actors and employers. In collaboration with our Partnerships team, this person will also engage relevant stakeholders to design and run innovation projects to develop STAR-centered solutions. They will also create inherent buy-in with the stakeholders who are best positioned to implement the solutions. The Director of STARs Innovation Studio will also be responsible for disseminating learnings across projects and within the workforce development community, providing a strategic perspective and recommendation on paths towards replicable and scalable STAR mobility solutions. This position is remote and will report directly to the Chief Innovation Officer.
