Job Description

The Yale Dramatic Association is looking to hire a Lighting Designer for our Spring 2023 production of Pride and Prejudice adapted by Kate Hamil. The Lighting Designer will work closely with a professional director and a team of student technical leads to foster a supportive learning environment. The show will run for five performances from April 19th - April 22nd, 2023 in the University Theater which is a 640-seat venue on the campus of Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. Housing will be provided April 9th-22nd. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until November 13th, 2022. Those interested in applying should submit a portfolio showcasing any previous work in the lighting design field which should include a sample plot or drafting document. We would appreciate a brief paragraph describing your interest in working with the Dramat and our students. In addition, please provide a resume detailing any experience you have that you feel will aid you in designing the show.
