Job Description

About Plug In Ventures Plug In Ventures backs the next generation of visionary founders building in the sectors that will define the next decade. We're an AI-first company giving underrepresented founders real access to capital, mentorship, and the tools to scale. Headquartered in Los Angeles, with a growing footprint in Kansas City, Atlanta, and New York, our core programs — the Enterprise Growth Residency (our flagship accelerator), the Pre-Accelerator Program, and LABs — are how we put that mission into practice. About the Senior Graphic Designer Role If you're a designer who's tired of pouring your best work into brands that don't deserve it, this is the opposite of that. You'll be shaping the visual identity of Plug In Ventures itself — the brand behind the founders who are building the future. Every piece you create helps us show up in a way that matches the caliber of the people we back. This is work you can put your name on. Job Type: Contract/Freelance Schedule: 5–15 hours per week Work Location: Los Angeles / Kansas City / Atlanta / New York Compensation: $45–$60/hour Responsibilities Visual Branding & Marketing Collateral — Develop and maintain brand-aligned visuals across brochures, presentations, social media, and event collateral. Content Creation — Generate visual content for digital and print media, consistent with brand guidelines. Cross-Team Collaboration — Partner with marketing, program managers, and business partners to translate objectives into design. Feedback & Revisions — Incorporate feedback into design work, ensuring the final product meets expectations. Your Skills as a Senior Graphic Designer Must-haves: AI-Powered Design Tools — Fluent with Midjourney, Recraft, Adobe Firefly, and Figma AI to accelerate concepting, iteration, and production Adobe Illustrator & Canva — Mastery of both for precise, polished, and shareable visuals Deadline Discipline — Deep respect for timelines and a track record of delivering quality work on schedule Presentation Skills — Confident presenting concepts to stakeholders and leadership, articulating the "why" behind creative decisions Quality Control Process — A defined process for catching creative mistakes or blunders before concepts reach leadership Concept-to-Copy Alignment — Able to spot when a creative concept doesn't match the accompanying text, and course-correct before it ships Project Ownership — Manages projects end-to-end with minimal oversight, and is comfortable giving candid feedback to leadership when needed Also valuable: Agency experience, Fortune 500 client experience, Asana, video graphics, and a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset.
